Alzheimer's & Surgery Medical Expenses

Hello everyone, my name is Carlos Bauza. My 81-year-old mother, Mercedes Bauza, has very advanced Alzheimer’s and has been living in an assisted living hospital facility since December 2021. Since then, her Alzheimer’s has progressed severely and though she no longer remembers me, I still visit her daily and do my best to take care of her. We are each other’s only family.
While these past several months have been difficult, on Sunday, May 15, 2022, my mother fell and fractured her left femur. She will need surgery and then therapy at a rehabilitation center to learn how to walk again.
I have become burdened with all of my mother’s medical expenses (including fees for her living at the facility). As I said before, it is only my mother and I. I am doing everything I can to provide for her while also paying my own rent and expenses, but it is hard. Each paycheck goes toward her medical bills. Over the last several months, our combined expenses have amounted to over $3,000,000. With this upcoming surgery and rehab, I fear that total will grow close to $5,000,000.
