Alyssa’s Story...
Alyssa was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive bone cancer known as Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma in October 2012. Over the last few years, she has received aggressive treatment regimens of various chemotherapy, surgeries, emergency room visits, medical trials, etc. She and her family have basically stayed at the hospital's oncology unit more often than in their own home.
Since being diagnosed, Alyssa has had one of her legs amputated and some lungs removed. Even through all the physical and medical challenges, she has kept her optimism that miracles can still happen in her life, which included a marriage proposal from her now fiancé, Robby.
On May 2015, she was then informed by her doctors that she has End Stage bone cancer. Naturally, the latest news devastated Alyssa and her family, but she still believes miracles can still happen. Whatever that may be.
Alyssa will be 23 years old on June 25, 2015 and for the first time since diagnosed, Alyssa has made a dying wish – she wants to go to Disney World in Florida. There was no convincing otherwise. This is Alyssa’s wish and we all love her enough to do our best to make it happen. We are doing something that a family would not do for themselves, even if they desperately needed it. Family and friends have volunteered to raise money in an effort to make Alyssa’s wish come true.
We thank you in advance for your consideration in generously contributing towards Alyssa’s wish. But most importantly, we thank you in advance for all the continued prayers and for forwarding this page to everyone that you may know.
