Hi, my name is Hailey the producer of 'Altar Men', a student Dark Comedy short film. We are a driven group of filmmakers who want to showcase what we are capable of as a first step into the industry. To make this film the best possible version of itself, we need support. We are working hard to finance this film, and we would appreciate any donations. Our primary goal is to enter Altar Boys into film festivals in hopes of opening up opportunities to get into the film industry.

Synopsis:

The film follows George, a middle-aged man who never really grew up, still working his high school job as a checkout chick. Now he must attend his late father's Catholic funeral, despite the fact that he never really like his dad. When he arrives to see his younger (and better) brother, Jimmy for the first time in a decade, in his spot comforting their mother. George knows there's more to it though. Father Francis reveals that he possesses the key to the will and makes the boys don their albs, one final time to relive their childhood roles as Altar Boys. George and Jimmy decide that their is only one way to do this. Winner takes all. The boy's rapidly escalating antics leads to an over smoked thurible turned rave, hard drugs, mouth to mouth and a really weird eulogy. As the funeral plays out and the brothers' competition takes centre stage, they lose track of what's really important - their grieving mother who is grappling with her faith after losing her husband.
