Alplaus cat colony

There is a feral cat community in Alplaus near the Marina.   This has been going on for over 15 years.   If  these cats are not rescued or fixed , this colony will continue to grow exponentially. It is now at approx 50 cats .  It is not fair to these cats, who have to suffer in the winter months,  scrounge for food and protect themselves and their kittens from other animals. They have fleas, tics and some even have diseases.  Some may have to be put down.  But some may be adoptable as well! If we can neuter/spay all of them, this community will die down eventually.
What we need is funds mostly.  If anyone can donate it would be so appreciated.  We also need traps and an empty garage, preferably nearby. The reason for the garage is that,  once the cats are caught, which has to be the night before, they need to go to a safe space to wait until morning for the surgery.  Also after the surgery, they need to go back to this garage, for 2 nights if it is a female, or 1 night if it is for a male.  Please help by donating or if you are a trapper we could use your help !  Please share this post !!!
