Jason has recently been diagnosed with Chronic Vascular Rejection and will be added to the Heart Donor's List for his second heart transplant in nine years.  Jason went to his annual check-up thinking that his lack of energy and and slight weight gain were common signs of being "40-something". Unfortunately, these signs were indicators that his heart was struggling to beat at its normal baseline capacity. He now wears a "life vest" daily which will enable an external intervention in the event his heartbeat becomes unstable.

Jason grew up in Whiting, IN and attended Sacred Heart and Whiting High School. The scars on his chest were a constant reminder of the pacemaker that was helping to steady his heart beat, even at an early age.  However, this never deterred Jason; he has always had a "live life to the max" attitude. Kind, funny and extremely humble are his best personal traits.

Jason married his wife Jessi in 1996 and had two beautiful children, Skylar and Miles. He then decided to return to Ivy Tech to finish his Associates Degree.  After his first heart transplant in 2005, Jason became a co-chair for a support group that consists of patients waiting for transplants. He also developed a flare for culinary arts and began to teach cooking classes and has been fondly referred to as "Chef Jason".

With the birth of Bella in 2013 and Max in 2014, Jason is reliving what he went through when his first two children were young. In just a few weeks, Jason will have to begin his journey again to Indianapolis where he will wait in a hospital room for weeks or months, not being able to hold his children or kiss their foreheads, until he hears the words: "we have a heart for you".

Jason Delgado's All Heart Foundation has been established to help raise funds to assist Jason and his family during this difficult time.  Due to overwhelming medical costs and the inability to support his family, we are asking you to help a friend in need.
