HELP! Keep a Roof Over Our Head
Donation protected
Hello Friends & Family. (Desperate times require desperate measures) It was suggested to me that I try the GoFundMe approach...so here goes. (My wife is going to kill me for doing this!)
For the past 7 years we have been through the worst of times. A very holy priest/exorcist told us that someone put a curse on our family. I'm not sure I believe that completely because I've done some pretty stupid stuff. In summary, ...we've lost our dream house in Monterey Park, I lost a great career with the County, we've filed bankruptcy, we had our family car repossessed, our daughter disowned us for many years (we weren't invited to her wedding), 2 of our boys we're bullied at their school, I've lost several jobs over the years, one of our kids contemplated suicide, our 30 year marriage is on the rocks, and the list goes on.
Grant it, there have been some positive things happen as well. For starters, we all have our health. Praise God! We have a precious new grandson. Our daughter, Alyssa, came back into our lives! Arlene (my better half) has completed a BA and her masters in education with outstanding grades (straight A’s in her masters program). She's employed and is in the process of completing her state exams to become a teacher. (She'll be a great one if you ask me.)
The REASON I'm asking for your help is because we are in dire straits. I'm still not fully employed but working hard to get there. Arlene and Adam (our 21 yr. old) have "okay" jobs. Since October, Arlene and the boys have been staying with our daughter and her husband. As an incentive to find real work, I’ve been sleeping at my parent’s house until I can find a decent job to put us all under one roof. After a silly dispute, my son-in-law asked Arlene and the boys to be leave their home by July 31st. THEY'VE GOT NOWHERE TO GO!
BOTTOMLINE is we don't have the means to put up a down payment. We've run the number and know that we can sustain rent. (Adam has a really good friend that will be staying with them and contributing significantly.) We just need to get them in and afford a few amenities (like a new frig and a couple of dressers and a queen size mattress).
PLEASE - Prayerfully consider helping us if you have the means. (Your prayers are just as valuable). It would me the world to me. I just started a new sales job that looks promising. I’ll still be able to work part-time at the Catholic Radio Station where I’ve been helping out with marketing/re-branding and sales. I’m still consulting on the side when I can, designing homes & drawing-up remodels and such.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for taking the time to read through this. (This is embarrassing to have to admit but, it beats sleeping in a car!)
God Love You all,
