Pioneer Academy, Wayne NJ has partnered with Embrace Relief to start and complete three humanitarian projects in Tanzania. By being a part of these projects YOU can provide;
- Clean water everyday for thousands of people
- Food for thousands of orphans, help them a healthy life and put a smile on their face
- Access to necessary sources for hundreds of young, bright, underprivileged kids
100% of your donations will be used for the projects. Your donations will bring the light of hope and joy to the lives of those in need. You will be remembered in the hearts of all those who will be provided with the help of any kind.
● Building a water well - $6,000
More than 300 million people in Africa does not have access to clean drinking water. People travel 3 to 8 hours a day in search of clean water. Nearly 1 out of every 5 deaths under the age of 5 is due to a water-related diseases.
● Orphanage Food Distribution - $2,000
Today there are over 52 million orphans in Africa which makes 1/3 of the world orphan population. Most of these children have started their lives in orphanages. Life is never easy for them, often having to deal with limited supplies which lead to not being able to eat proper hygiene. With their innocence reflecting in their eyes along with having big smiles, they are waiting for donors for better food and services.
● Building Library and a Computer Lab to 2 Public Schools - $13,000
African companies are scrambling to fill positions with employees who possess the right digital skills. However, estimates claim less than one percent of African children leave school with basic computer skills. It is very critical to provide these kids the necessary tools (computers, software, books, internet ... etc.) to close the gap and create a better future for themselves.
Project 1 : Clean Water Well
Water is life, and more potable water is needed in Tanzania. A shortage of potable water in the area has caused life-threatening water-borne diseases such as blindness, various skin disorders, cholera, dysentery, typhoid, hepatitis, and distended bellies in adults and children are forced to drink contaminated water. This water well will be located next to a school that will benefit the entire community as well as the students. The Pioneer Academy water well will improve hygiene, health, and overall quality of life.
Project 2: Orphanage Food Distribution
Within this big project, food distribution will take place in a local orphanage. A big lunch will be served where Pioneer students will get to spend time with the orphans. Toys will be gifted to them and games will be played. The Pioneer Academy students will help make the orphans’ day with smiles. Food purchased using the donations will continue to be served to the orphans in the upcoming days and weeks.
Project 3: Building a Library and a Computer Lab to 2 Public Schools
Pioneer Academy will use the collected funds to build two completely new libraries that will include renovating and converting a room in the Pwani Primary School and the Mwambo Primary School into fully-functioning libraries. Our students will fill the library with books, furniture, shelves, desks, 15 computers, and other library equipment. The computers come pre-installed with educational tools and can be remotely updated from headquarters in both California and Kenya. This will allow students who have little to no access to the internet to access up-to-date information and knowledge.
