eXXpedition to Research Ocean Plastics

I'm Ali Foley, founder of Ten Little Pieces and I've been selected as one of 300 women to crew an around the world sailing mission to research and advocate solutions to plastic pollution.

Over 2 years, eXXpedition Round The World will bring together artists, activists, media experts, educators, mothers and change makers to raise awareness and develop collaborative partnerships as part of a global network of ambassadors all connected by a shared passion to protect our oceans.

I'll be joining Leg 11 Tonga to Fiji in May 2020 to travel 500 nautical miles through waters and islands affected by debris that is accumulating in the Southern Pacific Gyre.

Taking part in world leading science, eXXpedition Round The World will allow me to participate in some of the largest scale citizen science projects to date to provide a basis for cultural, consumption and policy change around the world and a better understanding of the effects of plastics on human health.

I will be incorporating the eXXpedition Round The World experience and findings into the Ten Little Pieces school based education program in Australia.

I'm deeply honored to have been selected to participate in this adventure and thank you for your support.
