All of my life there was never a moment when I did not have my mother by my side. She's my rock,sister, best friend and all I could ever live for in this world. A loving wife and mother of three. My mom was a strong woman, hardworking and kind to all. Over the course of my life I've seen her go through so much. From thyroid cancer to brain tumors she's overcome those obstacles. Until she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.
My mothers Lyme Disease was not detected until two years, moving towards one of the more serious stages. We went to countless doctors and specialists within our financial boundaries. The more time that passed the weaker she became. From driving a car to her life being steered in a wheelchair I've seen my mother begin to lose all she had left; her faith.
Her condition is getting worse, Lyme Disease is a rare case in the state of Florida. All the doctors we've spoken to have all tried but lost hope in her case. They told us she would not get better. They said she had around 5 years left to live. They discouraged us but did not break us.
A small trace of hope lies in Mexico, where we caught sight of these group of specialists who might have the cure for my mom. It's a series of treatments which have not been FDA approved. We've reached out to the group and they are more than interested in helping my mothers case.
I've started this go fund me in hopes of saving my best friend. She's the reason for who I am; the least I can do is join her fight on her road to recovery. Our insurance stopped covering, everything would be dealt with out of pocket. I have hope in my mothers case and I know this may just be her saving grace.
So please look into your hearts to share this with friends and family on all social networks you may have. I want my mother to finish living. 40 years are never enough. I will continue to fight and share my mothers story for her to get better. I want more than the 5 years they told her she would have. I want her to regain hope; she's still so important in my life. My mother deserves more. All funds would go towards the treatments and travel fare. I refuse to let my financial troubles be the reason why my mom does not get better.
Anything helps, even just spreading the word. I really want my mother to live her beautiful life to the fullest. So help us try!
