Greetings!
I'm Alexander. I'm in recovery, recently achieving 6 years of sobriety, and I live in a group home. The progress and growth I have achieved in this rebuilding phase is substantially exponential. I have become the best version of myself and the sky is the limit for my potential and future.
I have nearly everything I need, but a situation has arisen which I cannot solve in a timely manner and I need your help.
My phone battery is dying as I've had this phone, a Samsung Galaxy S9 which I paid for myself with Social Security backpay, for over 8 years. I need a new phone and there are services for folks in my situation, but all the peers I know that have a "government" phone say they have issues with the reception and slow phone operation.
I don't have a good credit score so I can't get a contract deal. I have always used the prepaid plan and you have to buy a phone at full price. This is why my fundraiser goal is $2800.
Therefore, I am interested in obtaining the second newest model of the phone I currently possess, which is a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. I'm hoping to get at least the 512 GB one as I have all my music in mp3 files because I support artists by buying physical media. I have over 28,000 files just for music alone. The S25 Ultra does NOT have a 3.5 mm headphone jack so I need to get an adapter and/or Bluetooth headphones. I also need a protective case, screen protector and protection plan as I have done with this phone with phenomenal results.
I have just recently begun creating art again, but it's been a very long time and I'm very rusty, so I'm not up to par with my potential. I have listed several items on eBay, but no one is biting even though there is interest. I'm also actively seeking employment, but it's brutal out there and interviews are difficult to obtain.
It would take 3 years to save up enough money (on my current budget) to obtain this phone and I fear the battery on my current one will die way before I accumulate the funds necessary.
I humbly request your assistance in this endeavor.
Thank You,
AMF
