Alex Vitale Memorial Scholarship
Donation protected
My brother, Alex Vitale, was killed in a car accident on Sunday, October 25, he was only 17. Born and raised in Peabody, MA, he was a senior at Malden Catholic High School and an incredible young man. He would always volunteer in our church's food pantry for many years and he was also the president of the Lancer's Buddies Program, a group that works with disabled adults and children that he very much enjoyed and additionally was a part of the varsity swim team at Malden Catholic.
My brother demonstrated the type of person that I wish everyone in the world could be, and my parents and I, along with our friends and family, want the memory of who Alex was to be alive forever.
With the help of Malden Catholic we are setting up the Alex Vitale Memorial Scholarship. In order to have a "named" scholarship that will be given out each year we need to raise $25,000 by 6/30/2016. While this sounds like a tough goal to reach, I am confident that those lives that Alex touched will spread the word and help us reach this goal.
If you feel more comfortable sending a check to Beverly Bank where we have an account set up named "Alex Vitale Memorial Fund" you may do that instead the address is:
Beverly Bank
254 Cabot Street
Beverly, MA 01915
attn: Alex Vitale Memorial Fund
**checks made out to the Alex Vitale Memorial Fund
I'm sorry for the confusion this past week of where to donate money but just know if you have already donated whether it was sending it to Malden Catholic (where we originally had everything sent) or Beverly Bank, they have been received and will all go towards his scholarship fund and we thank you so much.
We set up this go fund me account to make it easier for people to donate as many of you have asked me if there is a way to donate online.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me
thank you so much for your support and we are in the works of planning more fundraising events for the spring.
