Help Akosua become a tennis pro
About Me
My name Akosua Larbi-Mensah, I'm 12 years of age, and I'm an aspiring young tennis player from Enfeild in North London.
Like your average 12 year old, I try hard at school and my favourite subject is history. Outside of my studies (and of course tennis) I enjoy ice skating and I love to dance.
My Tennis Journey
I have been playing tennis competitively since I was 6 - I currently compete at county level.
Whilst I was a relative late starter, my rapid progress lead to me being presented with the opportunity to attend the world renowned Brugera tennis academy in Spain. I accepted and moved to Spain at the end of 2019.
The academy has an impressive track record, and under the stewardship of coach Abetrto Lopez Nunez, recent success stories include former world No 1 Garbiñe Muguruza!
Sadly the academy was casualty of the Coronavirus pandemic and had to close its doors. I have since moved to the Rials Academy where I remain under the stewardship of coach Alberto
What will I do with the money?
The annual costs are £40,000 ( which includes coaching, tuition, medical insurance, & meals, books & supplies, transportation, tournaments and personal expenses).
The last few months fees has been covered by generous donations of my friends and family (and my mum working tirelessly behind the scenes), however it still leaves me short by quite a distance.
I have circa £35,000 left to source.
I will be eternally grateful for any help people are able to offer me.
I'll keep this page updated with photos and video of my progress
Thanks for taking the time to look.❤♥️♥️
