Your career seems successful, why GoFundMe?

My name is Aiiia, aka iiinkedskiiin. I am known for doing semi-permanent tattoos that lasts 1-3 weeks. About two years ago, I created a GoFundMe page to pay off a $4,200 tuition debt with my student visa on the line. We reached our goal within a week. Many many many thanks to 230+ donators and the many of you who helped spread the word, as I managed to stay in the Netherlands and continue my studies, graduating last summer of 2025. 

Fast forward to present times, iiinkedskiiin at CLRS studio opened and grounded me in The Hague, Netherlands. I can afford basic needs like rent, bills and groceries.

It took me a very long while to open up this crowdfunding campaign, as the reason to it has been a secret I have kept, even to my closest friends.

About my teeth

Back in Indonesia, I would have monthly even weekly visits to the dentist. My teeth are are extremely fragile, and something would chip, form cavities or break entirely. All of the nerves in my teeth have been dead since 2016.

I have a condition called dental fluorosis. This was caused by the overdosage on fluoride supplements in the early stages of my life (birth-3yo). I have acute migraines, toothaches, and silently suffer every time I eat. Some sharp, broken tooth that didn’t fall out entirely would wiggle in my gums. I would tell my friends that I am having massive headaches at lunch or dinner, in truth, my exposed gums were hurting severely that I feel it in my temples, neck and shoulder.

I can never eat hard food or take a bite off an apple. Most of my bottom molars (the primary teeth used for chewing), and all of my upper front teeth have broken off, leaving only the roots (4 of my front teeth are veneers). 

I’ve adapted to this pain and uncomfortability my whole life, therefore it was never a priority to get them fixed in the Netherlands (not the healthiest approach, I admit). My sweet friends are currently helping me find a cheaper solution for my treatments. I have insurance, but dental care costs extra.

Swear I have brushed my teeth religiously since i was a child, as I grew up with dirty-looking set of teeth. The discolouration already made it look like I have bad hygiene, and the yellowing from dental fillings were not helping either. I was not only in pain all the time but also very, very, very insecure about my physical appearance. 

Year 2020-2021 I started iiinkedskiiin, and during those times I met the amazing Drg. Itto who did my veneers (big shoutout to all my clients in Indonesia, you didn’t only fund my study abroad but also my front teeth!). He designed a set of front teeth that is much stronger than my natural ones, and for the first time in my life my front teeth held up without breaking for more than 3 years. I gained confidence to smile and laugh without having to hide my mouth. 

Recently, my front tooth (that still had my natural teeth inside) broke when eating. I went straight to a dentist in Rotterdam. My biggest shoutout goes to to Drg. Runi for securing a spot for me in her busy schedule. After getting it temporarily fixed, I was told that the rest of my teeth can only be “treated” by implants in the long run, which would cost around $7,000-$20,000 as a whole.

Of course, I haven’t done that as of yet. Perhaps in the near future. Because as the emergency dental bill arrived on my doorstep, it stacks up on the many envelopes carrying other debts from the past year. 

Like my long-due dentist appointments, a small sum of the funds will go to my long-due (dental) bills as well. I will fix an appointment for treatments and implants as soon as I secure my dental insurance, and make sure to post an update here on GoFundMe.
