If you know Johnny you probably have seen him with Aidan and his family and I am sure you felt, as I have, the love they have for each other, for you, and for everyone they meet. They are an amazing family.
Aidan is having SDR surgery. Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy It's surgery on his spine . They cut nerve endings and it releases the spasticity. Aidan has Cerebral Palsey and if he doesn't have the surgery he will deteriorate. The money will be used to support traveling, lodging, and expenses while in St Louis . It will also help cover Aidan's mom, Renee's loss of wages as a freelance designer while she is with Aidan. She will be in St Louis for at least three weeks and unable to work, therefore no income, and WE ALL know what a hardship that is on families.
Below is an excerpt from John's facebook page:
Hi friends... My amazing son Aidan will be having life changing surgery on June 5th in St. Louis. We are very excited and very scared at the same time. We do feel that this is an amazing opportunity for Aidan. With this opportunity, comes a large financial issue. I'm not asking for handouts, but I do need to raise some money. If any of you had ever considered buying one of my paintings, or considered having me paint one for you please please consider doing this ASAP... I'd love the chance to create a one of a kind piece of art work for you while raising money for Aidan's surgery. Please message me on facebook If your not into my work, but would like to help, donations are excepted. Thank you friends, it's not easy for me to ask for help.... JKJ

LET'S GET THIS FUNDRAISING GOING! and remember
"IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD"
This page was created with the love and overwhelming willingness of friends wanting to help and suggesting the creation of this fundraiser.
Thank you for visiting Aidansbeginning and donating.
UPDATE: Due to the overwhelming response to help the Kirkpatrick's and the suggestions to increase the goal, I have changed the amount. The reality is that it will take much more money for the surgery and recovery even after insurance. Again we cannot express enough gratitude for the outpour of love that has been received. Thank you.
