Support Biscuit's Road to Recovery After Coyote Attack
Donation protected
We’re reaching out for our one-year-old Golden Retriever, Biscuit, who has suffered a serious injury.
We live in Grand Bay Westfield, and while Biscuit was outside today, he had an unexpected run in with coyotes. This left him with severe tail injuries, and unfortunately, the damage was so extensive that the only option was an emergency tail amputation.
We never imagined we'd find ourselves in this situation, especially as we didn’t have pet insurance—something we’re now reminded is crucial. Biscuit is our sweet, happy boy. Every day when I come home from work, he greets me with a wagging tail and a joyful spirit. I was greeted today but things were a little different when I noticed his serious injury. We rushed him to Port City emergency vet where they began treatment. They’ve been wonderful, but the costs of his emergency care and upcoming recovery are more than we can afford right now.
We’re asking for help to cover the costs of his medical expenses and get him back to being the happy, tail-wagging pup we know and love. While Biscuit’s wagging days may be behind him (he’ll now be rocking a stump or nub instead ), we’re hopeful he’ll still greet us with the same joyful spirit and lots of wiggles. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward his surgery, aftercare, and recovery. We are also sharing this as a reminder to other pet owners to consider getting pet insurance. It can make all the difference in times like these.
Thank you so much for your love, support, and kindness during this challenging time. Biscuit has brought so much joy into our lives, and we’re hopeful he’ll be back to his happy, tail-wagging self soon—even if it’s just a little nub.
