I am seeking support for my situation, which unfortunately now exceeds what I can handle on my own.

I am 61 and was diagnosed with cancer in 2023. At that time, I had already been unemployed for two years (from the IT sector). Unfortunately, the breast cancer was already advanced and has since progressed to the palliative stage. I’ve had three surgeries—a mastectomy, removal of eight lymph nodes, and a section of my fifth left rib. Currently, with a recent CT done in May, the number of known metastases has risen, in breast bone (now with fracture), lymph nodes (armpit and near left clavicle), and liver. Molecular pathology testing is done at present to see what therapy options there still are, seeing as the treatment of the last two years is no longer working. Also, the lung has been affected by the cancer meds, and has developed Pneumonitis, chronic now, which we hope will not advance to lung fibrosis.

In addition to this aggravating health situation, with the uncertain outcome it presents, I am faced with Eviction by my landlord due to my inability to pay the rent - the disability pension I receive (80% disabled) is not enough, because I still have to pay off a loan from when I was earning a full income in IT and was involved in animal welfare, and own—since I live in a rural area—a small car. What little was left recently was eaten by the latest MOT and (few) repairs.

I do try and work in private households, cleaning, but have failed to secure long-term (part-time) employment since last year.

However, it seems clear now that I cannot stay in this particular region, with the lack of affordable housing. I have sought a new home for three quarters of a year now.

What I seek most of all now is a place and environment that affords me some rest and peace from current troubles, as the stress level, with almost daily threats issued in my direction, is extreme. And no doubt one of the reasons why the cancer has taken the hold it has, with defences down.

I have an offer, out of the region, which would enable me to do just that, but can't afford the move at present. So I cannot stay here, I cannot get away.

I am aware that wherever I go now, will be the last place of residence in this life, if things (cancer) continue as they do. Hence I hope to find the assistance I need to effect this relocation, and soon.

I am not looking for luxury, but for peace. I have fought for several years now, and find strength in short supply these days, especially after the last damning scans, and what may result.

I know I have found the right place, and at a rent I hope I can foot, from what income I have. The offer stands. Yet.
