Adrian's Medical Fund

Dear friends, the wonderful Mother of these two little ones (my daughter) is facing one of the most frightening battles a person can.  She needs help with medical, childcare and living expenses for the coming fight.   Here is the story in her own words as she bravely told her friends:
A journey from giving birth to cancer in 3 weeks:
Hi fb friends. As we all know I went in December 23, 2016 for a routine non stress test for my baby and ended up having an emergency c-section and said baby. We are so lucky that she was healthy and got to come home from the NICU a little early on Monday January 2, 2017. She is amazing and growing like a weed, eating, sleeping, and pooping like a champ! :D
On Friday January 6, 2017 I went in for my routine post op/post partum check up and my dr's MA noticed I was jaundiced... this along with some super hi BP and blood sugars caused my dr to send me across the way to the ER so they could get some labs done and rule out problems with my liver. After a couple of hours they got me back and ultimately took me for an ultrasound, thinking they were going to find some gall stones. They found nothing. My gall bladder is pristine and this surprised my er dr so he sent me for a ct scan. The ct came back showing something on my pancreas... so they admitted me to the hospital so we could do some more testing on Saturday.
At 1pm on Saturday they took me down for an ultrasound guided endoscopy, where they put me under general anesthesia, took a biopsy of the mass on my pancreas, and placed two stents in me (one in my bile duct and one in my small intestine) where the mass was pressing and blocking causing the jaundice. When I woke up the dr told me that they confirmed the mass is a tumor and that initially it appeared to be malignant, but they would have to wait for pathology to confirm. There were also suspicious spots on my liver. They referred me to oncology and wheeled me back to my room. I was discharged Sunday night after talking briefly with the oncologist, who ordered a chest ct to check my lungs for signs the cancer has spread there (it hasn't) And a liver biopsy to determine if the cancer has spread there (it has). Pathology also confirmed that the tumor on my pancreas is malignant.
We had our appointment with the oncologist on Friday January 13, 2017, where she confirmed that I have pancreatic cancer that has spread to my liver. What that means is that the cancer is not curable and is only treatable. I go in Wednesday to have a port placed for my chemo treatments, which will probably start in fairly short order. I may be a good candidate for a clinical trial up at OHSU.....
I did ask about life expectancy and was told that once pancreatic cancer spreads it is usually less than a year, but with my age and relative good health she just wasn't sure. The average age of a person diagnosed with pancreatic cancer is 71 years old, which is twice my age. So I'm a bit of an unknown here lol.
If you made it through all of that thank you for taking the time. I do apologize for putting this up on Facebook instead of personally letting some of you know, but there are just too many of you that I'd like to call and talk to... it would take me 6 months lol. We are just going to take this one day at a time at this point...

Anything will help.  We appreciate your love and support more than words can ever say.  Thank you.
