Chiropractic Mission Trip

Hello Friends!
For those of you who may or may not know, I am in my 5th trimester of Chiropractic school at Parker University in Dallas, TX. Each day that I step on campus is another opportunity for growth and to expand the depths of my knowledge about the wonders of the human body. My calling in this world is to facilitate healing within each person I come across and allow them to understand their inherent power and wisdom.
On December 16, 2018 I will set forth on a five-day Chiropractic service trip to San Salvador, El Salvador. I will be traveling with a group of hard working and dedicated students who have incessantly trained to be able to provide the highest level of care and service. It will be our honor and privilege to serve the community of San Salvador in the best way we know how. We will be traveling with Dr. Chou, a proud Parker alumnus, in partnership with the company Spinal Missions. This company organizes Chiropractic mission trips all over the world, with an emphasis on those communities that have limited access to healthcare professionals and an inherent need for human touch.

Through loving presence and carefully placed hands, Chiropractic allows the body to function at a more optimal state through conservative treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Patient education, extensive neurological and postural assessments, and the Chiropractic adjustment, allow the body to be in a state of ease where healing and wellness are manifested. In the words of one of the founders of Chiropractic, B.J. Palmer, “nature needs no help, just no interference.” A dysfunctional process can look like an inability of the lungs to contract and expand, the heart to pump efficiently, or even in something as familiar as low back pain. Through the removal of this interference, the body is allowed to function with full expression as it was gracefully designed to do. Chiropractic is more than just a means of increasing biomechanical functionality and fluidity, it is also a means of connecting the physical body back to the spiritual. Through increased kinesthetic awareness, Chiropractic provides an insight into the divine power that lives within all of us, and re-establishes the connection between brain and body.
How you can help make this dream of mine come true and send love into the world is by helping support me in funding this trip. My goal of 2000 dollars is to help cover the cost of airfare, room and board, as well as food and miscellaneous expenses throughout the trip (5 days). Any amount is greatly appreciated! Five dollars can go a long way! We will be serving a high volume of people during this trip which requires proper nutrition and hydration.
