The Adegbite's Impact El Salvador

Prior to having children one of the things my husband and I talked about was raising our kids to not have a myopic view of the world.  We want to raise them with a global mindset as well as ensuring they have awareness of socioeconomic issues that occur right here at home. We both have a heart for ministry and we both have a heart for serving others and we want to instill that into our kids as well as continue to pursue opportunities that afford us a chance to make an impact locally and globally. While we enjoy going on family vacations as much as the next family, it has always been desire for our travels not to only be about pleasure but also to be about giving back.  We think the only way we can make an impact while on this earth is by raising the next generation with  more selflessness and more global awareness.  When we discovered the opportunity to fulfill this part of our dreams, we immediately jumped on it. This year we plan to join a team through Compassion International on a trip to El Salvador!   In El Salvador, we will be conducting a VBS for ~375 children; working alongside church and community members on an infrastructure project; encouraging and fostering relationships with the pastors, children and staff at three of Grace’s Compassion Projects; and visiting with sponsored children and their families. We will also be conducting discipleship, leadership and/or parenting training at two separate projects. We are excited to take our 8 year old (Jola) on her first mission trip. 
The cost of the trip is about $2000 per person and that covers all our travel expenses. We are asking if you could help in covering some if notmost of travel costs.  The best part is that you should be able to write this off has a charitable contribution :).  We ask for you to prayerfully consider your giving.
