Acentamiento Water Pump Fund

Last week the water pump in the nearby town of Acentamiento, Nicaragua broke, leaving 140 families without water.  This pump provided naturally purified water from a deep underground aquifer.  Since we are experiencing our forth drought year in a row, the private wells cannot reach the water table to rectify the problem.

Our family is close friends with several members of this community, and the effects of losing water are devastating. The closest water source is now a 2 mile round trip walk; which makes life very difficult.  My family and several others are delivering fresh water to the area, but Acentiminento needs a larger and stronger pump as a permanent solution.

A significantly larger and stronger pump has been generously  donated by Rancho Santana, and now the town needs to purchase and install new infrastructure to support the increased pressure and volume the pump will provide.

This Go Fund Me account has been established to help Acentamiento purchase the materials needed so they can install the pump and have access to clean water once again.
