Abigail's Emergency Vet Funds

Abigail was adopted in April after having been very neglected her whole life. She recently became severely anemic (the cause is still unknown**) and needed an emergency blood transfusion. Between the transfusion (to which she responded very well), the necessary overnight stay at the vet, and the many tests still needed to monitor her and determine what's going on, her vet bills are getting pretty high. I fostered Abigail after she was rescued by Rural Dog Rescue in DC, and she is the most loving dog I've ever met. Despite how badly she was neglected, all she wants is your love and to be petted and be close to you. She is 3 years old now, and deserves the care needed to happily live out the rest of her life with people who truly love her. Please help her new family by contributing to the cost of her care.
**Update: vets found the cause! parasites, the result of neglect in her pre-adoption life in North Carolina. She was full of hook worm, whipworm and giardia, but is now on meds and she should be better in a few months.
