Hey Everyone. As many of you may know, I have been rowing around the world for the last 5 years, raising funds for communities, in light of humanity. After 504 days at sea, I am creating my first GoFundMe, in an effort to keep my journey going. I am currently more than halfway around, still working on sponsors, and need the following items in place to continue safely. Many of these items are replacements from my unexpected capsize, attempting to get through the Torres Strait, a world's first rowing effort. Although I capsized twice, some items were taken in PNG, and my boat needed repairs. I was able to get enough of those items in place and reach Indonesia, where I am now.
I am hoping to fundraise over the next 30 days, in an effort to be ready with the needed items to continue rowing across the toughest passage yet, the Indian Ocean. We believe there is only a 1 month window to depart from Lombok each year, in April that will allow enough time to work SW before going West. The items I need are the following: Automatic Watermaker, Liferaft, Food Stock, 2 Lithium Batteries, Back-up Smartphone, Extra Rudder, Extra Daggerboard, Serviced PLB, and back-up Garmin InReach. This is about 10 percent of the items I carry for the best and safest chance, with a successful passage. I have set up weekly goals to accumulate items, one by one, while working sponsors.
If achieved, what will this mean in the future? As I continue to work corporate sponsors, finalize the book SEE Level, and raise funds for communities, a film team is also shopping the stories we have captured. I believe the longer I go, the more funds from above, will fall in place. The outreach for the communities will grow and my efforts will come full circle, with the new non-profit, I have established. When my journey is over, I will turn my attention on helping other adventurers, get their own start, on any adventure they choose. With your support, I will be able to keep the momentum I feel it needs to stay on the mission, and continue to make a difference as best as my little rowboat can. Thank you for your support! For more information and backstory, please visit; www.adventureaaron.com
