On the night of July 16, 2026, our family suffered an unimaginable loss. Our beloved brother, Aaron Wade Hunter, known to most simply as Wade, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. A St. Augustine native, Wade loved the ocean and found peace surfing. As a United States Army veteran, he proudly served his country before facing hardships that would have broken many, including a period of homelessness. Wade refused to let those challenges define him. Through determination, faith, and hard work, he rebuilt his life, working two jobs while looking toward a brighter future. On the night we lost him, Wade had just finished his second job. Like so many hardworking people, he was simply stopping by the store before checking on his elderly aunt before heading home. He never made it.

Wade’s life was defined by quiet acts of service and compassion—to his country and to his family. He lovingly helped care for our mother throughout her battle with cancer until we lost her in 2023, and he remained by our father’s side until his unexpected passing in 2025. Wade was so much more than the tragedy that took him. He was a deeply loved son, brother, father, nephew, uncle, loyal friend, veteran, surfer, and one of the hardest-working people you could ever meet. He faced adversity with courage, loved his family without hesitation, and always believed tomorrow could be better.

His passing was completely unexpected, leaving our family not only with the overwhelming heartbreak of losing him, but also with the financial burden of funeral and burial expenses. Today, we are asking for your help with funeral and burial expenses and give Wade the farewell he deserves. Our family’s wish is to lay him to rest near our parents, whom we lost in 2023 and 2025. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. Please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers. Every share, donation, and kind word means more to us than we can ever express.
