Raising money for the AICU Notts in memory of Aaron Tidey

My younger brother Aaron sadly grew his angel wings at the age of 25 on the 18th of July 2024 after spending several days at the AICU at QMC Nottingham following a tragic car accident. At the end of Aaron’s life he selflessly gave the gift of life by being an organ donor, this has saved five people’s lives, one of them being a young child who had been on the donor list for nearly two years

Aaron was brave, loving, resilient, honest , charming, loyal, funny and determined with a heart of gold, he had a such a positive impact on so many peoples lives and this I why I want Aaron’s name and legacy to live on forever. Aaron’s name and story deserve to be shared and this is why I have decided to set up a charity football team called “Aaron Tidey United” in memory of Aaron, we will be holding an annual charity football match with other fundraising matches throughout the year to honour his memory. Everyone is welcome to come to Aaron’s memorial match!

During our time at the QMC Nottingham we were supported by so many wonderful people, I would like to say a huge thankyou to Skye and Claire from the NHS blood and transplant team who were on the critical care ward who really went the extra mile for our family, their kindness and empathy meant the world to us and really helped us at the most heartbreaking time. With this being said all of the donations and profits will go to the AICU unit at the QMC and used to fund care packages for the families of patients on the AICU at the QMC Nottingham.
