Book about AVM Survivors
Donation protected
I had an AVM (arteriovenous malformation) rupture in my brain when I was ten years old. It was an emergency brain surgery on the optic nerve. I was in a coma for four days. I lost some of my peripheral vision and have some other visual and memory difficulties, but am otherwise blessed to live a pretty normal life. A big part of having an AVM is gaining understanding of yourself and from others of what you can't see and can't control, something many people face.
I'm looking for funding to research and publish a book about my AVM experience of living with brain injury. I'm also in the process of collecting stories from other survivors around the world.
Proceeds from the book will go to Children's Hospital Boston where they saved my life and do great work every day to help children in medical need.
