Anyone who loves the Smokies knows who Tabitha Pratt Jenkins is. In the height of the pandemic, when all of us were stuck at home, Tabitha & her adorable daughter Miss Olivia began streaming smiles & bits of good ole southern hospitality directly to our homes. Every day she and Miss O take each of us to the place we love most, the Great Smoky Mountains.

On Friday February 24th, 2023, Tabitha ate a hamburger at a local fast food restaurant with Miss Olivia. She instantly began to feel sick. As the weekend progressed her symptoms only worsened. On Sunday afternoon she went to the local ER and was told that she had, at some point, ingested a small piece of plastic that had now formed a blockage in her colon. They discharged her, telling her she needed to consult a surgeon for an extraction.

She proceeded to contact 5 local hospitals, all of which refused to operate without insurance. Thank God she was able to find a surgeon willing to take a cash patient, 184 miles away in Hazard, KY. At the publishing of this fundraiser she is currently in route to Kentucky for the operation(s).

Her husband Jeremy has just started a new job and does not have any paid leave to help with this unexpected time off.
