Arizona State Rowing Club

Each year, the Arizona State University Rowing Club proudly represents the university and the state of Arizona by competing on a collegiate level around the country. Though we are a club sport and receive little funding from the university, we train like a varisty program. The schools we compete against are often better funded Varsity programs that have the benefit of large athletic department budgets and well-established Alumni networks. We have neither of these, but what we may lack in those areas, we make up for in determination, enthusiasm, and the will to race and win!

As the crew comes upon every new season, our needs and expenses expand. Our program is continuously growing larger and is becoming more and more competitive. For example, our men's novice 8+ placed 3rd at the Western Regional Championships in May of 2017, giving them a national ranking of 7th. With more funding, we can send our rowers to the National Championships in Gainsville, Georgia. As you can imagine, this would be a very expensive trip, but we do not want to limit our rowers potential. So help us get there! Along with traveling to regattas, our crew faces many expenses associated with mantaining our equipment and purchasing new equipment to stay competitive. Some of these include:
New Heavyweight Men's Pair
Rowing Equipment: Oars/ Oar Handles/ Rudders
Coxbox Repairs
Straps for boat transportation
Boat Slings
Boat Wiring Repairs
Tools and Hardware

This list, of course, can go on forever. We understand that money can be tight, but we are not asking for a lot. Even just a small donation can go a long way. With support from all of our friend, family and our community, the possibilities for our crew are endless. Please support ASU Rowing as we head towards our athletic goals and challenges. As we say on the water, "Miles make champions." So while we work hard everyday putting in our miles, please consider helping us become the champions we know we can be.
