Hi everyone!
Alternative Spring Break is an opportunity where undergraduates students at Rice University get to learn about social justice issues. This program is hosted by the Center of Civic Leadership, but the trip itself and weekly educational meetings are completely student-run!
Specifically, Rebecca and I will be leading a group of 10 amazing students to Washington D.C. during March 2019 to learn about voting rights and mobilization. We will be meeting with organizations, non-profits, and representatives to gain a better understanding of mobilization efforts and the state of voting today.
