A fight to live, a fight to love ❤️

In the last year, since getting out of rehabilitation Babs has regained strength and connected to living by spending time in her garden planting, weeding, pulling, seeking sustenance and growing organic food. Babs has a tremendous desire and passion for life. She has continued to apply natural therapies to increase her health and nourishment to fight cancer through various ways such as supplements, juicing, smoothies, herbs, and back to her roots of naturopathic care. Babs also continues with conventional cancer chemo treatment in the form of two pills. The funds that were raised through your generous donations, a year ago, helped Babs to secure her rent and prevent eviction. Babs was able to keep her apartment, live independently and with these funds she was able to pay for food and shelter as well as transportation to medical care appointments. Funds were also used to purchase naturopathic supplements to also treat the cancer and promote natural healing after this cancer left Babs with brain, spinal cord and nerve damage.

Regaining strength has been challenging and a slow. Babs continues to apply her healing knowledge to herself however given the brain and nerve damage, sometimes her basic daily functioning is limited. Babs is still not able to drive long distances and currently finds herself still needing help to survive and live. Funds raised have run out. Because she’s not able to work, and her supplemental SSI pays for her insurances to secure her care and treatments, she worries about the ability to pay her rent and becoming homeless.

For those that have been touched by cancer, you know this disease affects more than just the patient. Babs diagnosis impacted and upended normal daily life. While many of the medical costs are covered by insurance, there are a lot of out-of-pocket medical and travel expenses associated with her ongoing treatment. Her friends are raising money to help ease the financial burden, allowing Babs to focus on beating this dreadful disease! Babs greatest desire is to FIGHT TO LIVE!
