AEPI Volleyball For "Gift of Life"
Donation protected
Philanthropy Information:
Recently in our beloved town of Athens, Ohio, we have experienced events that have tested us as individuals, as a fraternity, and as a Jewish community. Being vital members of the Ohio University Jewish Community, we decided that we had to do something lifechanging for everybody involved. So we did what the Jews have done for thousands of years: we brought our best minds together, identified our best resources, and devised a plan to put them into fruition. One of those resources is Kevin Feinberg, a brother that has gone through the process of actually donating his bone marrow and saving a life. We came to the conclusion that we would show everybody our strength through philanthropy, and that the cause would be one that we knew best: Gift Of Life. As you can see, this event encompasses the priorities we hold dearest to our hearts: health, family, and Judaism.
A great day at a swab drive is considered 150 swabs; our goal is to swab 400 people between just 2 and 5 PM. We are having a volleyball tournament at the South Green courts with different campus organizations and groups participating. As the October 18th tournament date quickly approaches, we have found that we need help funding the costs of the tournament as well as the Designed-to-Heal-Conflict networking event Following the tournament. Any overage in donations will fund our Philanthropy next semester.
