Title: Serious Accident in Dublin – Delivery Driver Facing Surgery and Months Without Work
Hello everyone,
On March 3rd, 2026, I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that completely changed my life.
That day, I was taken by ambulance to Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for emergency treatment. Upon arrival, doctors performed several examinations and X-rays, which revealed a severe injury to my right wrist. Two bones were fractured, and the ligaments in my right hand — my dominant hand — were torn. In addition, I suffered a dislocation in my left foot, which also had to be immobilized immediately.
I spent three days at the hospital in pain, uncertainty, and emotional distress, waiting for a solution. After those days, the medical team concluded that they did not have a specialist hand surgeon available to perform the surgery my injury required. Because of that, I was transferred to Connolly Hospital, where I finally underwent surgery on March 12th, 2026.
Two days later, I was discharged from the hospital, but my situation remains extremely difficult and deeply uncomfortable.
At this moment, I find myself far away from home, far from my family, and without someone truly close or trustworthy to help me with even the smallest daily tasks — simple things like preparing food, cleaning, moving around safely, or dealing with daily necessities have become a major challenge.
I am currently unable to walk properly, and I cannot use my dominant hand. Doctors informed me that I will need to remain in plaster for at least three months, which means I am completely unable to work during this period. Without the ability to work, surviving in Ireland has become almost impossible for me.
That is why I am turning to this GoFundMe campaign with humility and hope, asking for help so that I can return to Brazil and continue my recovery there with dignity, close to my family, where I can receive proper emotional and physical support.
Right now, I urgently need help to cover medications, food, rent, hospital-related costs, and basic living expenses. Every day has become a challenge, and facing all of this alone in a foreign country has made this moment even harder.
During this past year in Ireland, I have only gratitude for every person who became part of my journey here, directly or indirectly. I came here with hopes, plans, and dreams for a better future, but today I find myself in one of the most vulnerable moments of my life.
If you are able to help in any way, whether through a donation or by sharing my story, it will mean more than words can express.
Every contribution can make a real difference in helping me heal, survive this difficult moment, and return home safely to continue my treatment.
