HELP an addict who is trapped in opiate hell-
Donation protected
My name is Jeff, I recently got a DUI and spent a couple nights in the tank at Riverside. While I was in there i had the horrific but unavoidable pleasure of seeing someone detox from fentanyl. The other room mate I met, Richard Haig, had detoxed 35 days ago from multiple opiates and has not just volunteered to go to rehab but is trying desperately to turn his life around. At 37 years old he has had two open heart surgeries, the first in his early 20's which set his dance with opiates to its first beat. Rick has been a multiple substance abuser for 15 + years and has not one dime to his name as an expected result, but he is very intelligent as well as very well read. He is, like many of us from a family of alcoholics and drug abusers and has a father who abandoned both he and his mother when he was only 6. I can go on and on about how the world has treated RICK so terribly and its not his fault and all that BS. What would it do? Nothing. Id rather focus on what his plans are now and what I witnessed. He is getting a bed letter right now to True Recovery in Richmond Va or War foundation recovery center and has spent alot of time networking in there to have a job upon exit. His mother has not abandoned him but she is not exactly a pillar and has nothing to help him with. He needs a few bucks on his account at riverside to make calls to his attorney, War Foundation Recovery and True Recovery to obtain a bed letter and obtain recovery in leu of incarceration. His hearing is on March 25 for using. He cant use this gifted money to use drugs so i think its a safe support of something that looks and smells like humanity. This effort is to get him as many calls as he needs to arrange recovery in leu of incarceration with his attorney and make the calls necessary to the recovery centers (interviews) to obtain a bed by March 25 and hopefully have a few bucks on his account to, from time to time avoid the sewer slop they pretend to serve as food. His Riverside inmate ID is 58995 if you want to check this story out. We will deposit every dime raised to his account at riverside with the exception of a few bucks we will set aside for when he walks out. If one of the recovery houses needs money I will keep the funding account open. I prayed with him and I believe in my soul this is a real life turnaround story. Just 20 or 5 bucks helps, even a dollar from enough people who might just feel the pain and desperation he is feeling. Imagine trying to eek your way up the slippery rock of recovery from that medieval place. Please HELP RICK! Help one person and you do change the world. If you donate or you dont please repost the link to this fund raiser on your FB feed.. Cmon paypal this fund raiser at least a couple bucks.. the cost of a snickers bar.
