Today is my birthday. I turned 50. I have a birthday wish. My friend Kayla was assaulted in her home and needs to move. She really doesn't have the money to move but she has no choice. Anything will help.

In January I was assaulted. In my own home, and I have not felt exactly safe or comfortable in my own house since then. I’m truly blessed to have the support of my close friends and therapist. That’s honestly why that incident didn’t completely destroy me. It’s been a process but I’m finally beginning to almost feel “normal” and every day is a step towards becoming a badder, stronger more empowered woman.
I am sharing all this to say that the struggles I’m facing in finding a safe affordable place to move at times makes me feel worthless and like I don’t deserve a HOME to feel safe and secure in. I know it’s not true, but that’s how I feel.
So friends in real estate what’s a Queen to do ? Beacuse this one ain’t worthless and deserves a CASTLE!

Thank you all so much for all of your love and support. Seriously thank you for all your messages, calls, texts and kind words
I filed a police report of my assault today. Thank you so much to my Aunt Roxane who let me know I HAD to file a report and supported me every step of the way.
And to my boi, my bro, my momager Elias Rios for taking me to and from the police station and sitting there while I spoke to the officer. He came with a book yall That’s real love!
It was not easy at all but I honestly feel so much better.
Survivors of sexual assault you have to report it. It’s hard but you don’t deserve the hurt, guilt and shame that come with being assaulted. Take your power back. This is your life.
