Hi. My name is Shelley. Let me start by introducing you to my girlfriend Candace. Candace is one of the kindest most genuine people I know . She is loving and selfless in every way possible . She constantly worries about the well-being of others and is always offering to help those around her. To top off the magic act Candace is a proud mommy to three beautiful young ladies. Asia, her 11 year old her middle daughter was playing at school just like any other day. She had a little fall like most kids have. What started out as an everyday little fall was turning into the scariest moment in their lives. Fast forwarding through testing Asia was now being diagnosed with Osteosarcoma a rare form of bone Cancer in children. Asia’s treatment plan is in full effect now. Asia started her chemo treatments on April 28th and they will last approximately 29 weeks. Surgery is expected to follow the Chemotherapy with additional treatments to follow. Candace is juggling being by Asia’s side constantly all while continuing to be the supportive mom she has always been to her two other daughters. This has caused Candace to put her company on the back burner for a while as her plate is full. Candace is the backbone of her family so with a lot of faith from the good Lord above she just keeps going. One of Asia’s concerns happens to be a side affect of the chemotherapy. Asia was losing a lot of her hair. To own the process Asia asked Candace to help her shave what was left of her hair. What a brave amazing young lady! I couldn’t help but cry yet feel respect and admiration for Little Asia. You can clearly see that Asia needs her mom. Children need their parents. Candace cannot be at the hospital around the clock, then when she’s not at the hospital be with her other two daughters, and continue to run her business. The diagnosis procedures were not covered by their insurance. Most of the medications are not covered by the insurance coverage either. I am not sure what each and every one of you has going on in life but I do know that as a parent we should not have to choose between being a parent and taking care of our financial responsibilities. If you are able to donate anything at all it will be very helpful and greatly appreciated. All prayers are welcome. Please pray for Asia and her mom Candace as well as their family. God bless you and your families.
