UPDATE: It is with profound sadness we must let the world know Davin Joseph Yap has passed from the injuries sustained in this horrific accident. He entered heaven, surrounded by family, at 1:21pm on July 5th, 2026, where he will be greeted, lovingly, by those waiting for him.

In the coming days, Davin will be giving the gift of life to the donor recipients who match with him and will forever live in the hearts and bodies of those he saves. He will be with us always as a guiding light from now until we meet again.

On Tuesday night, just before 11pm, my sister and three of her four children were involved in a devastating car accident. Her youngest, Davin, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and is currently in the hospital receiving around-the-clock critical care. The medical team is doing everything possible, but the road ahead is heartbreakingly uncertain. His parents have not left his side, focusing solely on being with their son, making impossible decisions, and holding onto hope while navigating unimaginable grief.

The financial burden of missed work, travel, meals, and the many unexpected expenses that come with a prolonged hospitalization is growing by the day.
