Millie’s recovery

As many of you have followed Millie’s journey from the beginning, and have already expressed your love through sentiments, cards and gifts.

On November 11th, Millie was viciously attacked by a dog when she was out for a walk with her mom, Rachel. This other dog stuck his head under the fence and grabbed Millie’s leg to the point that there was a good chance she was going to lose her leg.

Rachel took Millie to Affiliated Veterinary in Allen Park And they sent her to Blue Pearl in Southfield where they did everything in their power to save her leg.

Several surgeries and SEVERAL thousand dollars later, Millie has found her way to the Woodhaven Animal Hospital where she underwent yet another surgery and continues to receive treatment in the hyperbaric chamber here.

And while it seems as tho Millie is finally on the road to recovery, her treatments are not over and additional care is yet to be defined.

Rachel and Cory sincerely appreciate the love and support (both emotional and financial) that they have already received but their bills will continue to climb. They expect nothing from anyone, and have taken on these expenses because of their love for Millie.

As Rachel’s longtime friend, I have decided to start this GoFundMe in hopes of lessening this incredible financial burden.
