Cancer Treatment for Paul Church
Donation protected
In November 2021, one week after the birth of our fourth baby, my husband Paul was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer and underwent major surgery in the December to remove the tumour.
Unfortunately after rescanning, we were given the news that the cancer had spread to the liver, and so he began chemotherapy treatment, but sadly the cancer was resisting the chemotherapy and has now spread to the peritoneal area.
He has just started a new chemotherapy, and has been offered another drug Avastin (bevacizumab) to take alongside this, which is not available on the NHS. If we are able to self fund, it could prove to be life saving treatment should he respond well or at the very least it would help to prolong his life and give him more time with his family and his four beautiful children aged 7, 4, 2 and 9 months old.
We desperately want to give him the best chance and find the money to fund this treatment so that we can get him started on it as soon as possible, but unfortunately this will not be possible without fundraising. Our target to enable us to cover the full cost of the treatment is £50,000 but at the moment we urgently need £25,000 to get Paul started with the first 6 rounds.
We fully appreciate that things are very difficult for everyone at the moment, but any help would be gratefully received.
Thank you
**Please note fundraising is shown as being for Mark Martin, this is Paul's Father in Law and is receiving the funds on his behalf.
