Michael’s Cancer Treatment

We all know how expensive serious illnesses are to treat and manage. Michael and I make enough to pay the bills, and save some besides, but we spent most all of our savings earlier this year because of my planned knee surgery.

Now with this unexpected cancer diagnosis, Michael’s base pay for short term disability has been cut in half, and his benefit will run out before he can return to work. And we are already going to be out 3k plus to meet his deductible and pay for the initial bills for his lab work. We haven’t even gotten bills for his two weeks in the hospital yet.
