Hi, my name is Neriah Laborde, and I am a junior at Brooklyn Emerging Leaders Academy (BELA). Since I was a child, I’ve always been enamored with fashion. Whether it is was cutting cloths for my dolls or making gowns for myself out of pass me downs. I am proud to announce that I have been accepted into the Council on International Educational Exchange program (CIEE). CIEE is a nonprofit that offers underrepresented students international educational experiences. I achieved the opportunity to participate in the Fashion Design and French Culture course in Paris, France.
This is an amazing opportunity however, it comes with costs that my family and I will not be able to fully cover at the moment.
As Paris is one of the prominent pioneering cities of fashion, it will help me explore new perspectives and knowledge of the evolution and culture of fashion and France. Studying the course, Fashion Design and French Culture in Paris would be a great opportunity to help me catapult my career in fashion design and fashion marketing.
Studying abroad will also aid me in refining my French speaking skills which will also help me to have a broader reach in my career and influence. My goal for $5000 will cover the tuition cost, accommodations, and fees. The deadline to pay the cost is April 15th. With Your contribution, I will be a step closer in achieving my dreams as a young Haitian creative and will be able to represent and ultimately give back to my community. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated and valued.
Thank you so much for your support!
