THE SPACE // is an independent exhibition concept and cultural project within a curated format in Hamburg. Beyond the exhibitions, the objective is to create a space for thought, art mediation and foster dialogs and interdisciplinary connections. The focus lies on community and humanity as an active, lived practice.
Unfortunately, the project has not yet secured sufficient funding to fully realize the exhibition program for 2026 until end of the year. Alongside our JAHRESGABEN, which support both participating artists and THE SPACE //, we have created this GoFundMe page as a direct way to support the continuation of the project. The current exhibition “The Art of Border Sabotage - Echoes from the Edges” runs until July 4th. The exhibition is part of the Triennial Expanded of the 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg 2026.

THE SPACE // ist ein unabhängiges Kulturprojekt und Off-Space in Hamburg. Neben den Ausstellungen entsteht hier ein kuratierter Raum für Kulturvermittlung, Austausch, Diskurse und interdisziplinären Verbindungen. Ziel ist die Förderung junger Kunst und einen Ort der Begegnungen & Synergien zu schaffen. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Community, Miteinander und Menschlichkeit.
Leider konnten bisher nicht genügend Fördermittel generiert werden, um das vollständige Ausstellungsprogramm für 2026 bis zum Ende des Jahres umzusetzen. Ergänzend zu unseren JAHRESGABEN, die sowohl Künstler*innen als auch THE SPACE // unterstützen, wurde diese GoFundMe-Seite eingerichtet, um das Projekt direkt fördern zu können. Die aktuelle Ausstellung “The Art of Border Sabotage - Echoes from the Edges” läuft bis zum 4.07. Die Ausstellung ist Teil der Triennale Expanded der 9. Triennale der Photographie Hamburg 2026.
