My name is Michael Hichborn.  The Ryder family, who has been renting a house from us for the past 3 years, just suffered a terrible tragedy.  Chris Ryder, a husband and father of three young children, lost his life in a car accident over the weekend.

Chris and his wife Erica have struggled financially over the last few years, and my wife and I have tried to help them out as best as we could.  

Their oldest son (pictured above with his dad) is sick with lukemia, and Chris had a hard time finding work.  Chris found a good job last year, and had just received a promotion.  Things were really looking up for him and his family.  But with Chris's unexpected and shocking death, his wife and three children now have no income and a funeral to pay for.

I'm hoping to raise enough money for the Ryders to live on for at least the next six months as they grieve and and try to pick up the pieces and begin the next phase of their lives.  Any amount you can give would be an immense help to them.
