The Cow Care Center (Goshala) is a part of Amma’s loving effort to care for and protect cows from ill-fate. Located in a rural area outside of Mysore, India, the cowshed provides employment and specialized training to otherwise unskilled and uneducated young adults.
Known to the world as Divine Mother, Amma, Srimad Sai Rajarajeshwari, has a tender heart and compassion towards humanity and animals, especially the 150 cows, bulls, old cows and calves living at this center at her Ashram.
Amma has built this center that cares for these cows, bulls and calves in the most loving manner. Her mission is to ensure that these animals have the chance to live a long and comfortable life.
Nowadays the cost of sustaining one cow is between $1,000 and $1,300 a year. Your help is urgently needed to support Amma’s amazing efforts to fund the ever-increasing cow feed, veterinary care and overall maintenance expenses. There are also plans to eventually expand the cowsheds, install solar panels and use the electricity to run fans for the cows during periods of extreme heat.
