Tina’s Story………
Our former nanny of 7 years, Tina and her family, need our help. On January 2, Tina suffered a major seizure at her home on the TAISM campus in Muscat, Oman. Tina was rushed to the National hospital where she was put into ICU and remained unresponsive. After 2 weeks, Tina was moved to a ward as friends and family waited for her to become conscious and stronger. Her sister, Julie, who works in Saudi Arabia, arrived on a 30 day tourist visa to watch over her in the ward and did not leave her side. February 2 she was transferred to a private hospital, the cause of her seizure still not determined and consciousness still not obtained.
We need your help raising money to help pay:
o Tina’s hospital bills and ongoing care back in the Philippines
o support of her family in the near future, as she was the sole financial provider
o tuition for her daughter who is training to be a medical technician and has 2 years of college remaining
For those of you who do not know our Tina, she became part of our family when we arrived in Oman in 2008. She worked for us for seven years helping to raise our girls, Hanna and Cassie. Tina was one of the hardest workers we have ever met. She worked tirelessly, taking care of all our needs, cooking, cleaning and taking care of our dog. No job was too difficult for her, she was resourceful and took initiative to go above and beyond the call of duty.

Tina came to Oman in search of a job to support her family in the Phillipines. Her husband could no longer work due to a heart condition. Her daughter, Chinchin, is now 19 years old and studying to become a medical technician.

Tina is a young woman, 44 years old. Each month she sent every Omani rial home to her family for their needs. She is a truly selfless woman. She never asked of anything for herself. We have always supported Tina and when we left Oman last June, we were thrilled to know that our friends from ISKL, Melissa and John, would be employing Tina and welcoming her into their family.
We are now reaching out to ask for your help in supporting Tina and her family. We are truly grateful for any donation, as the medical costs are growing and are unknown at this point in time. We need your help to ensure she has the care she requires and to support her daughter in finishing her studies.
