Help Milo!!

hi everyone this is our gorgeous boy Milo he is 7 months old and on Friday an unexpected and unfortunate event happened. we had taken our gorgeous boy to get desexed and when going to pick him up we got told some news that he had been bleeding outafter the surgery and they are unsure as to why. They had mentioned things about rat bate, or heredity hermophelia which is very rare. We were absolutely so shocked as this only had come on due to getting his incisions, and him having an opened wound. The vets said they would keep him there and monitor and give him injections, if it was rat bate poisoning then the bleeding should stop. Later that Friday we got a call saying his bleeding hadn’t stopped and we had 3 options 1: to take him to Wagga 24-7 vet to get a blood transfusion as he had lots a fair bit of blood 2: leaving him at the current vet he was in overnight and to see in the morning how he was goingbut there was a high chance he wouldn’t make it… and 3:have him euthanised. we of course chose option 1 as we wanted to try everything for him. he has now been in hospital for 6 days and has had 2 blood transfusions as his red blood cell levels were and are still dropping. he’s a little fighter and has come a lot better from when taking him in. His still breathing heavily and had a high temperature but his pcv levels keep dropping. The vets are not wanting to do anymore transfusions at this point due to him having high temperature and can be a reaction from the transfusions. They have informed us today they would like to put him on some steroids to help with his red blood cell levels and his temperature which means more days in hospital. The vets are still unsure of the prognosis and are still needing to send his bloods away to get tested. The outstanding cost of his procedures, days spent in hospital being on fluids and medications are estimated at $6800. it would mean the world to us if you were able to donate towards it anything is appreciated!! ❤️❤️
