Support for Jake the Snake
**Edit** The cost has gone down for Snake’s funeral arrangements due to some changes in his final plans so we adjusted this. Also-Jake was in the army & got out years ago, so he wasn’t active duty. The VA only covered a small portion of his final expenses, contrary to the urban idea that “the military pays for everything,” it does not in his case.We just wanted to share that bit bc we know people must wonder, we were shocked to find out the VA wasn’t covering much ourselves! We just always assumed they did.
As some of you may know, our beloved brother, son, friend, neighbor, Army Vet & all around good guy, Jacob Karns passed away suddenly & unexpectedly on Saturday Sept 5th. He was just 30 years, we are all heartbroken and shocked and downright sad at the loss of our Jake the Snake. Being so young & busy living life to his fullest and always helping others, Jake did not have life insurance and thus, a huge expense has been put on Jake’s mother & family. As well as friends. So many people loved Jake and are helping, offering touching words to our family, being good people during this horrible, gut wrenching time. Losing Jake has crushed our family and financial burdens just don’t help matters. If you so inclined feel you’d like to help in anyway, we would appreciate it so much. Our family has never made one of these before; but it’s for Jake & it would help Jakes mom out a ton. I know Jake the will be smiling down on us from heaven and he’d be saying he loves us. He was always telling us all how much he loved us, how much his family meant to him. & how much His friends meant to him...He had a heart of gold. would give you the shirt off his back. He truly would.
*thank you for everything, all the prayers, everything!
Love,
All of Jake’s family & close friends
