Hi, I’m Rafael Ribeiro, a.k.a. Rafa.

I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and I’ve lived in Lisbon for almost 20 years.

I’m a father of two, recently divorced, and currently facing one of the hardest moments of my life. After losing momentum and clarity following the divorce, and with the market shifting, I now find myself with no projects lined up. Rent and bills are due, and I’m running out of options. Asking for help publicly is terrifying, but honesty feels like the only direction forward.

For the past 15 years, I worked as a software developer and architect. I later completed a postgrad in psychology and went on to teach, coach, and mentor over 2000 people in Agile Coaching, Facilitation, Conflict Resolution, Feedback, Creativity, Emotional Intelligence, and Tech Leadership. I still code today, including a Stream Deck plugin I use for my trainings and an app called Invoice Tinder, which matches invoices with bank movements.

I’ve also hosted retreats, team kick-offs, and personal development programs, integrating psychology, tech, human skills, and surfing.

What I experienced after sharing my situation privately was overwhelming: generosity, emotional support, clarity, deep conversations, and a reminder that my niche is people who don’t fit in a niche. That gave me strength to open this campaign.
