Dear Friends and Family,
Sue Ellen needs our help! Since our last Facebook update, our dear Sue Ellen has been hanging on through her increasing pain from her latest injuries, as well as her ongoing medical condition, and is still in the hospice facility. Thank you to all who have been sending notes of love and encouragement! She has been comforted to know how much she is loved, and loves her village so very much.
Unfortunately, there has been a severe decline in her health this week. Our caretaking team had been working with the hospice facility to research long-term care facilities where we were planning to have Sue Ellen move, as they believed she could possibly hang on for a month or longer.
Sadly, she now isn't eating or drinking which we know will hasten her decline further and we're trying to not move her to another facility unless it's absolutely necessary. This is where all of you come in. Her insurance will not cover the bed cost for continued care at her current hospice facility and that bill is now several thousand dollars.
Until she is ready to let go, we want to help keep her in a safe, secure, and well cared-for environment, close to her beloved friends who can visit her daily, to share your messages, and make sure she knows she is loved. We need to raise funds quickly, to cover current and further costs. PLEASE GIVE IF YOU CAN AND SHARE WIDELY.
