Flood Recovery

On Thursday March 14th our dad very suddenly passed away. This unfortunately occurred right before my mom, brother, and grandmother had to evacuate their home due to the flooding that has plagued greater part of Eastern Nebraska.
They were not able to get out with much due to circumstances leading up the evacuation. We have seen photographs, but have not yet been able to get to their home due to high water levels. It is assumed to be a total loss. Unfortunately, they were not able to get flood insurance due to their proximity to the river.
Their dogs were taken to Chance Ridge to be boarded. They will have to remain there until Dakota and my mom find a place to live.
My mom and dad also took care of my 89 year old grandma, who is a total hoot, but a lot to manage. They are currently trying to apply her for medicaid, but in the meantime she will need to be placed in a nursing facility. They just do not currently have the funds to do so.
Funeral expenses for my dad have already been covered by my brother and I. The money they receive will go to a new home for them, and any and all furnishing they may need, and for care for my grandma. My dad was a really handy guy, but with him gone my family will have to start over, so really anything will help.
