Help Us Get a Safe Home

My name is Marika and I am fundraising because we are in desperate need of a new travel trailer to live in. The travel trailer we currently stay in has numerous, major issues and the problems will be as costly to fix as getting a new trailer would be.
We have lived without a functioning bathroom for 8 months, the roof leaks, there is only a trickle of water from the kitchen faucet making doing dishes impossible, the air conditioner doesn't work, the fridge keeps freezing our food, and sadly now there is also mould. As we come into the winter season, I am worried about our health and we are desperately looking to get into a new trailer that is healthy and safe.
I am a single parent to two amazing children, one of whom still lives at home. I have been struggling with severe health challenges for a few years and after holding on as long as I could, we unfortunately lost our home in the fall of 2023 and became homeless. At the time all three of us faced not knowing where we would stay and were so thankful to find someone with property where we could park a travel trailer if we could find one to live in. I had no money left and the little I raised by selling our possessions didn't go far! An angel in the form of a friend's father heard about our story and purchased a trailer for us to live in, which I am paying back in small monthly payments. But we quickly learned that the people who sold us the trailer took advantage of us and the checks that were supposedly done, were not and the issues with the trailer have been numerous and major. We've fixed as much as we could afford to fix but the current problems are too costly and time-consuming. Some of them would also need to have the trailer taken into a facility for the repairs. We have no way of transporting the trailer, not to mention that it is our home and only shelter so if the trailer goes somewhere, we lose the roof over our heads.
My daughter is such a trooper and never complains but I know this cannot be easy for her! Becoming homeless was hard enough and now all I want is to be able to give her some very basic conveniences most of us take for granted. I want her to be in a healthy place that she feels is a home even if right now it is only a travel trailer. I am so humbled, and frankly gutted, to have to post this GoFundMe but don't see another way to get my daughter into a safer home. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to anyone who is able to help us - any and all assistance would be so very much appreciated.
With gratitude always,
Marika
