Logan Gill

The whole Muswellbrook community knows Maddy & Nick Gill.

Everyone that walks into best & less is greeted with a massive smile and hello from maddy.

Nick owns and runs La Luna Cafe.

On Friday the 21st of June the Gill family went down to Westmead hospital for Logan to have a kidney biopsy thinking he may have some kind of kidney disease.

Unfortunately on the same day after his kidney biopsy their worlds were turned upside down, there beautiful bubbly little boy Logan who just started kindergarten this year was dealt an horrific card in life that no child should ever get dealt. Cancer. On that same day after a CT scan Logan was taken to ICU in Westmead Hospital.

On Saturday the 22nd he went back into theatre where the doctors put in a central line in his chest for chemo, a tube in his groin for dialysis, two bone marrow extractions and a lumbar puncture.

The same day he started dialysis.

Sunday 23rd of June, he started emergency chemo, as it couldn’t wait any longer.

On Monday the 24th of June the results came back that Logie has T Cell lymphoblastic lymphoma.

While this is only the start of a very hard road for the Gill family, I’m hoping that as a community we can take some of the financial pressure off them as Maddy is unable to work as she is by Logan’s side & Nick is travelling to and from Sydney.
